There are few things in magic better than your opponent amassing a gigantic horde of enemies, and then learning that they are, in fact, completely ineffectual. The cards I’m about to present accomplish this task rather well.
Crawlspace

There is not a whole lot I can say about this card other than I really want 4 in each deck. An artifact with a casting cost of 3, this is rather cheap. Especially for what it does, making it so that just two creatures can attack you every combat. This actually becomes even more effective with any of the cards still to come.
Angels Trumpet

This card will probably make you a target. But, if you have crawlspace out, good luck getting to you. For every creature that doesn’t attack, the attacking creatures controller losses one life. Ohh it also gives all creatures vigilance and taps all the creatures who didn’t attack, walls not included.
Total War

Total war. And it really is. Every non-wall creature must attack, or you destroy it at the end of the turn. When you put this with crawlspace your opponent looses all but two of his attacking creatures.
Siren’s Call

This is the blue instant version of total war, you keep this in your hand, waiting for just the right time to use it, and then, blam! All but two of your enemies toast.
Arcum’s Whistle

If you are afraid that the enemy will attack you with something you can’t handle, then use this little gem in conjunction with crawlspace. Let’s you choose one of the two that will come at you.
No Mercy

when you add this to the crawlspace combo, you can make sure that anything that does get through crawlspace, dies. Period.
